It’s still really absurd and I want to know what it is? 

It just looks like a birthmark. There are tons of types. It might be as red as it is from being pierced, but everyone needs to chill out about it, they’re on the internet, I’m sure they’ve seen worse. (My boyfriend has something similar; it’s a birthmark).

Just because someone’s seen ‘worse’ doesn’t mean they can’t react when they find something new and unknown.. I’ve never seen a growth like that aside from a keloid or really bad hypertrophic scarring. Just because it’s normal to you personally doesn’t mean that it doesn’t look really strange to someone who’s never seen it before. I’m sure there’s plenty of things that are totally normal to me that would make another person go ‘WOAH, WTF?’, but that doesn’t mean I have to scold them to chill out. People, especially on tumblr, have exaggerated reactions to things. I think you need to chill out, too. :p

I can understand that, but it might hurt someone if they have that, and people take it to a certain level that would be taken as ‘freaky’. People can be touchy with that. Yes, I believe I should take a breather. I agree with you there. Just… it can bother me that tumblr takes things they don’t understand out of proportion, when other times they preach about ‘everyone is beautiful, no matter what they look like’. I do believe this as well, but if you don’t understand, simply ask about it, don’t jump to conclusions and say ‘Oh, that’s gross’.
